Rehearsal Schedule and Audition
Information
Rehearsals are Sundays, 1:30-3:30 pm unless otherwise
specified. Rehearsals are at Rose City Park Presbyterian
Church, NE 44th and Sandy. Singers may miss only 1 rehearsal
per concert set, and may not miss the dress rehearsal with
orchestra. The dress rehearsal is always Saturday (1-4pm)
before the Sunday concert. Singers may take off one complete
concert set per year without penalty.
Please note: All members of the choir, except paid section
leaders, pay a tuition fee of $30.00 per concert set to help
defray the costs of soloists, orchestra and operating expenses.
This fee is considerably less than fees charged by all other
major independent choirs in the Portland area.

Information about Auditions:
Membership in the choir is by audition only. For an audition,
you will be requested to do the following:
1) prepare an aria by Bach (or other Baroque composer),
preferably in German;
2) Sight-sing your part from a selected Bach Chorale
3) prepare a section from a Bach Cantata (that will be mailed to
you ahead of time)
4)general vocalization
5) Read a passage in German (sent you to ahead of time)
