Madrigal Sing-Along with the Bach Cantata Choir
What: Come gather around the piano and sing English and Italian madrigals (examples: The Silver Swan; Now is the Month of Maying). We’ll throw in some songs from our old Europa Cantat books as well. Ralph Nelson will play and conduct. We’ll learn 7-8 songs before we break for dessert; then we’ll come back and learn 5-6 more songs. Finally, we'll sing through some of our favorites one more time. Whether you're a shower singer or a basso profundo, come join the fun!
When: Friday, August 23rd and Saturday, August 24th, from 7pm-9pm.
Where: The home of Ralph and Sue Nelson, near Grant High School in NE Portland. Exact address will be sent with reservation confirmation. And yes, we have A/C in case it's a warm evening!
Cost: $25 per person; make checks payable to "Bach Cantata Choir", or pay using PayPal after submitting your registration.
