When: Friday, August 24th, 2012 from 7pm-9pm at the home of Julie & Andy Beck (Beaverton) -- or (same program each night) -- Saturday, August 25th, 2012 from 7pm-9pm at the home of Ralph & Susan Nelson (NE Portland). Both locations are air-conditioned.
Cost: $25 per person, payable to the Bach Cantata Choir.
What: Come and sing English and Italian madrigals (examples; “The Silver Swan”, “Now is the Month of Maying”, “Come Again, Sweet Love,” “Fair Phyllis”, “Amo, Amas, I Love a Lass”). We’ll throw in some songs as well from our old Europa Cantat books. Ralph will play and conduct – We’ll learn about 8 songs before we break for dessert. Then we’ll come back and learn another 5-8 or so more songs. Finally, we sing through some our favorites one more time.
Who: Anyone who likes to sing! Ralph will teach the songs in a lively, fun manner. We are, however, limited to 20 singers per evening.
