It is with great sadness that we report the passing of long-time Bach Cantata Choir member, soprano Elinor Friedberg. At our concert on May 22, the choir performed Elinor's adaption of “O Magnum Mysterium," an eight-part choral arrangement of the "Nimrod" section from Edward Elgar's "Enigma Variations." Elinor's obituary was published last week in The New York Times.

This is sad news! In each band there will be one who is the soul of the band! Their loss makes a gap that cannot be filled! Good to see that the choir performed his adaptation! I wish all success for the new ventures of the choir! Your comment will be posted after it is approved.
