Dear Friend of the Bach Cantata Choir,
Thanks to many of you, 2013 was an incredible year for the Bach Cantata Choir. You filled the seats at our concerts. Bach would have been proud hearing you sing his chorales. And your financial support has allowed us to share this wonderful music with you for nearly eight years. One highlight was our participation in the Abbey Bach Festival in Mt. Angel and I know that many of you were there. Thank you for being part of this wonderful music making in 2013.
I hope to see most of you at our next concert on Friday, December 20th. We will present the Gloria by Vivaldi and cantatas by Bach and Kuneau, festive works supported by our full orchestra. Amidst this celebration you will find a gem that will be new to most of you: some beautifully serene carols by Johannas Eccard. You will not want to miss this highpoint of the holiday season. You may buy tickets from a choir member or online.
I know that many of you use the holiday season to make charitable donations. Please include the Bach Cantata Choir, if you can. We depend on your generosity to continue bringing the music of Bach and related music to Portland. If you are able, please send a check to the Bach Cantata Choir (click here for our mailing address) or through this website (click here for our donation page) to the secure facility managed by PayPal.
If you are an Oregon taxpayer, please consider making an additional gift to the Oregon Cultural Trust. By contributing to the Trust as well as the Choir, you will be eligible for a credit on your Oregon income tax.
Whether you are able to make a gift or not, we look forward to seeing you at our concerts on December 20, February 2, March 16 and May 4.
Sincerely,
Forrest Richen
