Madrigal Evenings
What: Come gather around the piano to sing English and Italian madrigals (examples: The Silver Swan; Now is the Month of Maying). Ralph Nelson will play and conduct. We’ll learn 7-8 songs before we break for dessert; then we’ll come back and learn 5-6 more songs. Finally, we'll sing through some of our favorites one more time. All skill levels welcome!
When: Friday, August 22, and Saturday, August 23, 7-9 pm
Where: The home of Ralph and Sue Nelson, near Grant High School in NE Portland. Exact address will be sent with email confirmation. And yes, we have A/C in case it's a warm evening!
Cost: $30 per person; make checks payable to "Bach Cantata Choir," or pay using PayPal after submitting your registration.
Who: Anyone who likes to sing! Ralph will teach the songs in a lively, fun manner. We are, however, limited to 25 singers each evening.
